Day 1 :- London – Dover - Ferry – Calais – Dortmund
area |
This morning, at the check-in point, you will meet your
Tour Manager and join the coach for a leisurely drive
from London to Dover port, to board the ferry for the
short channel crossing to Calais. Upon arrival, we join
the super fast highways of Europe. Late evening we reach
our overnight stop and check into our hotel. |
Day 2 :- Dortmund area – Berlin |
Depart this morning for Berlin – the re-united city.
Joining the Autobahn, we reach the Berlin in the
afternoon, where we meet our experienced local guide for
a tour of this once divided capital of Germany. Today,
highlights of East and West are featured on our tour,
including the famous Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag –
the German Parliament, Unter den Linden Boulevard, and
the Wall. Visit Alexander Platz, where we will see the
World Time Clock. Later we check into our hotel. |
Day 3 :- Berlin – Dresden - Prague |
We begin the day with a leisurely drive through German
farmlands to the beautiful town of Dresden, known as
‘Florence on the Elbe’. Our guided tour takes us through
the historical Renaissance city on both banks of the
River Elbe. A short walk on Theatre Platz takes us past
the Opera House. We then walk through the Zwinger Palace
to see its beautiful fountains. Later we drive to
Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. |
Day 4 :- Prague |
Today we meet our expert local guide for a full day
sightseeing tour taking us to the Hradcany Castle: walk
through the Castle’s courtyards before visiting the St.
Vitus Cathedral. Proceed down the Golden Lane lined with
historic buildings. Enjoy a panoramic view of this
majestic city from the Castle gallery. We then proceed to
the Old Town Square to see the Astronomical Clock. See the
beautiful Church of St. Nicholas and the Charles Bridge
over the Vltava River. Later some free time to shop for
bargains in Bohemian crystal. Late evening return to our
hotel. |
Day 5 :-
Prague - Vienna |
This morning, we leave Prague, for the capital of Austria.
On arrival in Vienna, check into our hotel for a two night
stay. Today the evening is free for you to explore this
elegant city: sit in a sidewalk café and feast on
Sachertorte and cream or visit the Prater Funfair and
enjoy a ride on the 65m-high Ferris Wheel (Riesenrad), for
a spectacular panoramic view across the city. |
Day 6 :-
Vienna |
Our morning guided
sightseeing tour of Vienna features the monuments and
palaces of this musical city. We drive past the main
highlights: the Hofburg Palace, St.Stephen’s Cathedral,
the Parliament Buildings, the Opera House and the
Belvedere Palaces. This afternoon join the optional
excursion to visit the sumptuous baroque palace: Schloss
Schönbrunn, with it’s numerous rooms of imperial splendour
and classically landscaped gardens. |
Day 7 :-
Vienna – Munich |
Today we leave Vienna to
drive along the Valley of the River Danube and the
spectacular region of the Bavarian Alps to reach Munich,
the Bavarian capital and one of the most important cities
in Germany. On our panoramic tour of Munich, drive through
the Altstadt, see the Olympic Stadium and stop at the
Nymphenburg Palace, once the summer residence of the
Bavarian sovereigns, for photos. Later we check into our
hotel. |
Day 8 :- Munich – Black Forest -
Nancy |
We begin the day with a
drive to the Black Forest region. Joining the Autobahn, we
drive past the cities of Ulm, birthplace of Albert
Einstein, and Stuttgart, home to Mercedes Benz. Passing
through small idyllic villages, enter into the enchanting
Black Forest region, where you will marvel at the timeless
serenity and unparalleled scenery around you. We stop at
the scenic Lake Titisee where you have time to shop for
cuckoo clocks. Late evening check into our hotel for an
overnight stop. |
Day 9 :-
Nancy – Brussels - Calais - Ferry – Dover – London
|
Depart this morning for
Belgium. We stop in Brussels, where on our orientation
tour we see the Grand Place, the Mannekin Pis statue and
the Atomium (photo stop). Late afternoon we depart and
journey north for Calais to board the ferry for the return
channel crossing. We arrive London late evening, where the
tour ends, and its time to say farewell to all the friends
you have made on tour. |
